Our program structure:

• Meaning - teaching commands. 
• Motivation (Positive reinforcements) - getting your pet to be happy to listen to you.  This is a great motivation for the owner also.  Your dog is only as motivated as you are.
• Enforcements - I said so.  There are situations where your dog may not listen because of distractions.   Positive reinforcements  need to be combined with enforcements because the distraction may offer a better reward than you can offer.  Dogs must learn that they have to listen around distractions and different environments (diversification).

If you break any one of these following rules in training, you will be frustrated, and your dog will be confused.

• Firm - you always have to be more hard headed than your dog. 
• Fair - rewards are essential in establishing a positive (happy) relationship.
• Consistency - of all the rules in dog training, this is the #1 rule at all times. 

CLASSES

Classes are held at Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control Education Center, 3020 Hilligas Road (located at the corner of Butler Road and Hilligas Road).  Please contact the Better Animal Behavior Clinic for class information and scheduling, thank you.  

All classes are family oriented.   

ADULT CLASSES:  Dogs over 5 months of age;  5 week sessions; $105.00 total class price; Limited to 6 dogs per class.

PUPPY CLASSES:  Puppies roughly 10-18 weeks of age;  6 week sessions;  $100.00 total class price; Limited to 8 puppies per class.

IN HOME TRAINING:  $140.00; 4 one hour sessions over a 4 week period within 5 miles of Randellia and E State Blvd.   $0.45 a mile over 5 miles.

A $10.00 deposit is required since class size is limited.   Make checks payable to Better Animal Behavior Clinic, P.O. Box 5031, Ft. Wayne, IN  46895.

SCHEDULE

Please contact us for dates by telephone or our contact page.  Days and times for puppy/dog class sessions vary.  In home sessions can be scheduled for any day of the week.
